This is a very decent book. It makes several interesting points. Even though it contains close to zero surprises, it nonetheless manages to surprise with a new perspective on things. The reason I’d recommend this book: it makes you think about things, even if on some points you’ll disagree with the author. One downside: the page-long slabs of code (which, really, weren’t needed).
